Shoshana Fine


Shoshana Fine 200x200Shoshana Fine is Assistant Professor at the European School of Political and Social Sciences. She was formerly Postdoctoral Researcher for MAGYC at the Hugo Observatory – University of Liège, CERI – Sciences Po, and the German Institute of Global and Area Studies.

Fine’s research interests are in migration and borders, Europe, international organisations and the relationship between knowledge and governing interventions. She has recently published « La politique migratoire au prisme des récompenses symboliques. Le cas des bordercrats turcs », Cultures & Conflits (2020) and a book entitled Mobility and Borders in Turkey with Palgrave New York (2018) based on her doctoral thesis.

Fine holds a doctorate in political science and international relations from Sciences Po Paris and was visiting scholar at the University of Columbia in 2015. She also holds an MA in European Affairs from Sciences Po and the University of Bath and a BA in Sociology from the University of Sussex.
