Tamirace Fakhoury is the lead researcher coordinating LAU’s participation in the MAGYC project. Fakhoury is an associate professor of Political Sciences and International Affairs at the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the Director of LAU’s Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution. She is the recipient of several fellowships such as the Jean Monnet postdoctoral fellowship at the European University Institute in Florence and of the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies in Hamburg.
Her core research and publication areas are: Power sharing and democratization in divided societies, Euro-Mediterranean migration dynamics and governance, refugee politics in the Middle East, and the role of diasporas in politics.
