Paola Bonizzoni
Paola Bonizzoni is Associate Professor of Sociology at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, where she teaches “Society and Social Change” and “Globalization, Diversity and Inequality”. She has taken part to several national and international research projects on migration, including studies on legalization and family reunification policies and strategies, local forms of immigration governance, intra-European forms of youth mobility in the context of the economic crisis, integration processes and experiences of immigrant women and youth between school, work and informal sociability. She has published on several national and international journals (including International Migration, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Ethnic and Racial Studies) and she’s part of the editorial board of the Journal Mondi Migranti. Member of the Faculty of the Graduate School on Sociology and Methodology of Social Research, she is also strongly involved in pro-bono activities (including training and consultancies) for the main advocacy organizations working in the field of immigration.
