Bina Desai leads IDMC’s policy and research agenda and is responsible for heading a team of researchers, political analysts and advisors. She has a strong background in climate and disaster risk reduction and development economics. From 2010 – 2017 Bina served as UNISDR’s Policy Analyst and has co-authored and led the production of the United Nation’s Global Assessment Reports on Disaster Risk Reduction (GAR).
