Dr. Christiane Fröhlich is a research fellow at the GIGA Institute of Middle East Studies. Her research focuses on questions of human mobility in the context of political and environmental crises, the North–South divide and its role for human mobility, the resource–conflict nexus, as well as post-/decolonial and poststructuralist approaches in peace and conflict studies. Her work has been published widely, for instance in Political Geography, Global Policy, and The Oxford Handbook of Migration Crises.
