Hélène Thiollet
Hélène Thiollet is a CNRS permanent researcher. Her work focuses on the politics of migration and asylum in the Global South, and her empirical research is based in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa. She teaches international relations, comparative poltics and migration studies at Sciences Po.Whe holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Sciences Po and Master degrees in Geography and Classics from La Sorbonne University. She did a post doctoral fellowship at the DPIR/St Antony college at Oxford University.
Helene leads work package 8 on the “External dimension of the crisis” and participates to work package 2, 3, 4 and 7 based on her expertise in international relations, migration and asylum governance, the Middle East and the Horn of Africa.
Helène coordinated the ANR research project “MobGlob – Global Mobility and Migration Governance” (ANR 2012-2015) with Catherine Wihtol de Wenden. She a member of the research programme “Global-cities: comparative approaches to cosmopolitanism and migration” funded by USMPC “Société plurielles”.
